An introduction to the importance of health and safety, accidents and work-related ill health and why they occur and why the welfare of people at work is important.
This course can be offered in college or on your premises and is designed to address the employers’ responsibilities for the welfare and safety of all employees, as well as the employees’ responsibility to both themselves and others.

This intensive three-day course is designed for supervisors and managers of organisations who have some level of health & safety responsibility within their role. It covers the main pieces of Health & Safety legislation that apply within the UK.
The national level 3 course also gives delegates practical instruction on management of Health & Safety in the workplace including risk assessing. The course is accredited and certificated by the Royal Environmental Institute of Scotland (REHIS).
The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) have made changes to obtaining a Green Card (Labourer Card). These new requirements were introduced in July 2014 state that along with the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HSandE) Test, a QCF qualification (or alternative) must be achieved in order to apply for the Green Card.
This REHIS approved course is designed for candidates who wish to work within the Construction Industry. The course is delivered within a comfortable professional environment by qualified Health & Safety professionals and is tailored training with a closed book multiple choice test in Centre.
On successful completion of this REHIS award candidates can then take the next step to booking their CITB Health, Safety & Environment test.
This course includes a 1 day REHIS Health and Safety Course, CITB Test (candidates will need to pay CSCS directly for the physical card once evidence of course completion as been sent).
The course explains the principles and practice of Occupational Health and Safety risk assessment and why it is necessary. The course can be tailored to meet the candidate’s needs.

This short course focuses on the practical elements of manual handling activities and can be tailored to any industry sector.
As well as reinforce the legal responsibilities of both Employers & Employees as detailed in the Health and Safety at work act, it discusses the mechanics of the human body and structure of the spine.
The course is designed to raise awareness of the risk involved in Manual Handling activities and consists of classroom-based learning followed by practical exercises.

The REHIS Certificate in Advanced Health and Safety is a level 4 Health & Safety qualification; it is nationally recognised in all sectors of the workplace and more importantly – it will help companies and organisations to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
